A warm glow emanates from this painting. Painted at the beginning of December the idea behind this painting was to capture thoughts heading towards the beginning of a New Year. The Robin helped to reinstate this idea, symbolising hope, renewal and new beginnings. I adore robins and they often come very close to me (looking for worms) when I am busy in the garden. I've had their wings tap me as they've flown passed! : ) He is also a great festive addition to the painting.
