HELLO! I'm Laura, a contemporary expressionist artist, passionate about the power of COLOUR! I create bold, intuitive works that are layered with energy, movement and meaning. My work blends colour, character, and a touch of nostalgia.

More than just Portraits...

For me, painting is a way to freely express myself. Every piece is an exploration of emotion, colour, movement and connection.

I work primarily in acrylics and mixed media (sometimes introducing oils to add that extra element of lushness to a painting) and embracing spontaneity and texture to help bring each piece to life.

Each portrait I create, unfolds differently - no two are ever the same. Every face carries its own unique energy and I often use music to help me connect with the person I'm portraying, to help reveal something more intimate and powerful.

Laura is an artist based in Exeter, Devon with a background in Art and Fashion. After years working in the fashion industry - surrounded by trend, design, and inspiration - she eventually returned to her first love: painting. She continues to evolve her practice through studio work, exhibitions, art courses and projects. Her work has been featured in local galleries, exhibitions and online, and is held in private collections across the world.
