I used a rainbow of colours for this bold portrait of Jimi! I created this portrait using an array of mixed media, an underlay of pencil, charcoal and acrylic paint then layered pen, spray paint and oils on top, finalising it by adding a protective layer of gloss medium, to stop the colours from fading over time. This painting radiates warmth, and goes to some extent mirroring the colourful life of such a trendy, dynamic, musical soul.
